WALK TRAIL
KARRAKATTA CEMETERY HISTORICAL WALK
The WA Women’s Hall of Fame has collaborated with the Metropolitan Cemeteries Board to create a new free, self-guided walking trail, which celebrates the lives of sixteen WA Women’s Hall of Fame Inductees, and others.
To discover more about the positive impact these inspiring women have had on our communities and State you simply need a smart phone or tablet device to access the map. At each memorial site you will see a sign with a QR code which you can scan for access to biographical information.
Free trail maps are available from the administration office at Karrakatta Cemetery, and the website.

CHILDREN’S UNIVERSITY
The WA Women’s Hall of Fame are proud to be working with the Children’s University to share the achievements of Western Australian women with our young citizens.
Through this collaboration, we expand the opportunities to showcase the important roles women play in West Australian students’ communities, and families, and open the conversation around gender equity, for all.
By acknowledging and celebrating these inspirational women as role models, we hope to encourage the young people of our future, to aspire to make the most of their lives through a passion for learning.
ABOUT CHILDREN’S UNIVERSITY
The Children’s University Western Australia Partnership program was first established in Western Australia by Edith Cowan University (ECU) in 2017 and since 2020 is delivered by ECU and the University of Western Australia through the Children’s University Western Australia Partnership (CUWAP).
The CUWAP program encourages and connects families to local learning opportunities offered by community organisations such as public libraries, zoos, parks, museums, art galleries, theatres, sporting, and school clubs as well as businesses.
Through a ‘Passport to Learning’, children aged 7-14 from partner primary schools participate in learning activities of their choice, beyond the classroom.
