WA Women's Hall of Fame Opens 2027 Nominations - Building on a Legacy of More Than 300 Trailblazing Women
Public nominations are now open, for WA's flagship award for women's achievement, as the search begins for the state's next class of inductees.
PERTH, WA — Nominations for the 2027 WA Women's Hall of Fame opened on Thursday 17 September at Parliament House, launched by the Hon. Simone McGurk MLA, Minister for Women. West Australians have until 5pm on Thursday 10 December 2026 to nominate a woman, whose achievements and leadership have left a lasting mark on our State.
As part of the Statewide International Women’s Day Celebrations, the WA Women's Hall of Fame is highly regarded as WA's flagship annual event honouring and celebrating West Australian women. To date, more than 300 Western Australian women from diverse backgrounds and across all regions have been inducted. Their achievements having left a lasting mark on our communities, history and culture, providing positive role models and encouragement to future generations.
“Every year I'm reminded of the extraordinary depth of talent and generosity among Western Australian women,” said WA Women's Hall of Fame Chair Fiona Reid. “Nominating someone is a simple act that can mean a great deal — it's a chance to make sure their contribution is properly recognised and preserved. I'd encourage the community to put forward the women who have shaped their lives, their workplaces and their communities.”
How to nominate
Community members, organisations and colleagues are encouraged to nominate outstanding Western Australian women whose achievements deserve to be recognised and shared with future generations.
Nominations are open across eight categories — Arts, Business, Community, Culture, Education, Health, Sport, and STEM & Technical Trades — plus posthumous nominations to the Roll of Honour. Category details are available at wawomenshalloffame.com.au/categories, and full eligibility criteria, nomination forms and submission details are available at https://wawomenshalloffame.com.au/nominations. Nominations close 5pm, Thursday 10 December 2026.
